WISDOM TEETH:

Third molars are commonly mentioned as our wisdom teeth. they’re usually the last teeth to develop and are located within the back of your mouth, behind your second molars and typically developed between the centre teenage years and early twenties.

WHAT IS AN IMPACTED TOOTH?

Although most of the people develop and grow 32 permanent adult teeth, repeatedly their jaws are too small to accommodate the four wisdom teeth. When inadequate space prevents the teeth from erupting, they’re called impacted. this means their inability to erupt into the right position for chewing and cleaning.

Possible Problems with not removing wisdom teeth:

  • Infection: gum infection, swelling and pain.
  • Cyst Formation: cysts can develop within the jawbone.
  • Crowding: most ordinarily front teeth become crowded and hard to wash.
  • Damage to Adjacent Teeth: the tooth ahead are often adversely affected leading to gum disease, bone loss.

Laser Tongue Tie /Lip Tie Parramatta

Tongue or lip ties present in many various shapes and forms. Often health care providers only search for very prominent, classic tongue ties that always create a heart shaped tongue. However, tongue ties are often deceptively hidden within the base (back) area under the tongue and can’t be easily seen and diagnosed. Critical for correct identification aren’t only a visible examination but a radical investigation of the functional challenges also as a manual examination of the mouth.

When the diagnosis is formed after full investigation and therefore the surgery is completed correctly (where there’s thorough removal of the restrictive attachment) the potential complications a tongue or lip tie makes to challenges with feeding are often eliminated. Laser surgery allows a layer by layer, thorough removal of the attachment of lip and/or ankyloglossia. it’s a comparatively quick and easy process, not requiring general aesthetic, an OR , sutures or oral medications. It is often completed within the dental office within a couple of minutes.
